This is the dogs bollocks! I love my backpack! Again its by Crumpler, a really funky Aussie outfit who have pioneered the use of something called chicken-tex which is basically the use of the same kind of oils/chemicals that make bird feathers waterproof on their really strong materials.
The bag is spacious, it houses my 17″macbook pro (inside the gimp!), it has a few inside pockets – 4 to be exact and two on the outside. It has a really well padded back andbottom – the back is semi-rigid and the straps are perfectly moulded and very very comfortable. As you can see below the padding is fantastic. Its made of thick, rubbery neoprene stuff which protects the laptop from scratches and slight knocks. It also looks quite funky. I had an incase sleeve which was rather nice but I found that the neoprene kept getting dents and stuff in it when pressed briefly against other stuff. The Gimp is also a tight fit on the laptop which is great for me as I am sure that the laptop is totally covered by this sleeve. Read the rest of this entry »
