No to Scientology – Posh and Becks

18 January, 2007

Apparently Victoria Beckham has told the Cruise’s NO! They tried to recruit her into the religion of Scientology and she said no.

Regardless of whether or not it was for cash purposes, I think she did the good thing. Scientology is totally barmy, and if you read the following link you will not believe half of the things some of their followers have faith in… link

There was also a really really really funny episode of South Park which was about scientology…If you can get a hold of it you will laugh your head off…

Muslim cleric in Australia: Jews are Pigs

18 January, 2007

aussie-flag.jpg

As you can see; the picture is of a Muslim woman covering herself with an Australian flag. She clearly sees no problem being Australian and Muslim at the same time. Now recently a cleric called Jews pigs. This follows on from another cleric who denounced scantily clad women as uncovered meat; in reference to a serious crime of multiple rape. Now the thing is that if everything was in proportion I reckon it would make more sense.

The Islamic religion does name Jews as Pigs. Thats a fact. I can’t deny nor can anyone else. I have examples of a number of other faiths that have certain adjectives they use against other people but that is not the issue. At the end of the day; religion is divisive. Amazing Grace

14 January, 2007

Amazing Grace has become one of the best known Hymns in the world – thanks to the US playing it everywhere. It is really a touching thanks to God from John Newton who was captain of a slave ship and had a serious problem at sea. After making it through he wrote the hymn. However it appears that he as a man was a serious SOB…he was after all the captain of a slave ship! Nevertheless the words are really touching and you can read them below. I am putting a link here not to the words themselves being sung but to a Saxophonist called Dan Kozak who plays it beautifully. scroll down and download the file!

It is ironic how the hymn became a Cherokee anthem and a favourite of gospel singers – both communities were done terrible harm by slavers and colonists.
